Open Question: the best uk holiday spots?

hello,im looking to take my 7year old daughter on holiday this year in the summer holidays but im poor so its going to have to be in the uk,we haven't been away just the two of us so i want it to be full of things to do and lots of kids so she doesn't feel bored because shes stuck with me all the time!! has anyone took there kids anywhere good??or know of anywhere??i was thinking Pontin's or somewhere easy to get to (i will be getting the boat or plane over then the train) or even if anybody knows somewhere cheap out of the uk?? thank you xx...
